AEON and ARTIMATION are SESAR JU exploratory research projects supporting the European Union to increase the level of automation in ATM and Airport operations. In particular, the projects are providing an innovative concept of engine-off taxiing techniques (i.e., WheelTug, TaxiBots and Single-Engine Taxiing) and transparent and explainable algorithms presented with different visualisation techniques to improve trust in automation by the end users. In order to do so, AEON and ARTIMATION involved critical stakeholders in a series of validation activities that helped the projects in shaping their results.

The “Increasing Automation in ATM and Airport Operations” Event

The Final Event of AEON and ARTIMATION is dedicated to “Increasing Automation in ATM and Airport operations”. Firstly, the workshop objective is to present the results developed by the two SJU-funded projects. Secondly, it aims to give demonstrations of the tools and concepts to the attendees, leaving space for interactions and raising questions.

In fact, interactive sessions will give participants the opportunity to share their views with the projects teams, and various project stakeholders.

Who should attend?

  • Standard making bodies
  • Regulators
  • Aircraft manufacturers
  • Aircraft operators
  • Airport operators
